Kyle Morris

Kyle Morris is a singer-songwriter from Carrot River, Saskatchewan, currently living in Ottawa, Ontario. Frequently compared to both Michael Bublé and John Mayer, his easy-listening adult-contemporary repertoire pulls strongly from both jazz and blues genres, blended with the driving intensity of rock. 

 

Silky smooth vocals and boundless charm, coupled with his love for storytelling are captured in his recent album “With Life You’ll Never Know” (November 2019). Exploring life’s traditional themes of falling in love to the the extremes of having his apartment in Edmonton burn down in 2018, Kyle creates space for moments of joy, tribulation, love, and loss. Work ethic and determination shine through in all aspects of his life - after 5 years of hard work, Kyle independently funded his own album while also studying vocal performance at MacEwan University in both Jazz and Contemporary music. 

 

“Due to health issues as a small child, I struggled with communicating with my family, and music was how I truly connected with them. I started singing before I could talk, mainly humming along to the music of Shania Twain, because that’s what my voice would let me do.  After healing from surgery, I was able to communicate naturally, but my love of music has stuck with me from that young age. Initially, I wanted to be a doctor so I could help people, but have come to learn that music can do the same thing - create the escape or the connection that someone needs to get through the tough times in their life.”

Kyle is building a buzz on social media with 300 followers, and remains active on Instagram and Facebook. He is planning to release a new single to follow his current album in early 2024. Currently gearing up to hit the stage, Kyle is excited to share his music and story.
